Day 8 — A long days work

What I Learned

Today, we learned more about writing literature reviews and how to make the titles more eye-catching. We also went through the PEACC checklist to ensure that we all understood and remembered what is was and how it helps. Afterwards we went through the structure of literature reviews as well as ways to revise and check our work. Afterwards we went to our research groups where we did more dataset exploration and analyzed our dataset while breaking it down piece by piece using python. We also read more papers that were relevent to our topic to complete our literature review asignment.

Blockers

During our time in our research groups, I had a hard time keeping up with Blessing our mentor who was teaching us how to analyze and break down our dataset. I kept having errors even with me following along so I had to ask for help periodically to correct these errors. Besides, that I had no blockers.

Reflection

Today was a very stressful and long day. I spent most of the day coding and staring at my computer screen very hard. My eyes and head hurt very badly so I had to take a couple of breaks to give my eyes a rest. We also began to work on our weekly presentation which was very nice to do as it let me recall on the past 2 weeks of the program and how far i’ve come along in this program.
